About us from 'Off the Pebbled Path'
Hello and welcome. My name is Kristina and I am an Herbalist and Reiki Master in Prince George. I have had a love of plants since I was a child. As a girl I would ask what a plant was and was told "Oh it's just a weed" but I knew it had to be more.
My family and I have a small but ever-growing garden where many of the herbs we use are grown. We garden using biodynamic techniques and a permaculture flare. We harvest on days that are specific to what we are harvesting. Roots on root days, flowers on flower days. The gardens are set up so each plant has its place and helps the others grow. We keep our gardens and land as natural as possible and never use chemicals such as pesticides or fertilizers. Each year I like to add a "new to me" plant to learn and grow in the gardens. When I am not in the garden I enjoy sharing my knowledge on herb walks around our local community or I can be found in the apothecary creating new tea blends and plant medicine.
I started my business in 2016 as a hobby. I created bath products, offered Reiki sessions and worked the aromatherapy products. However, that wasn't enough, my passion lies with how plants can be used as medicine. Like one of my favorite quotes from Hippocrates "Nature itself if the best physician". I wanted to learn more so I returned to school and received my Practical Herbalist Diploma and soon after my Master Herbalist Diploma from the Wild Rose College of Natural Healing. Since then I have been expanding my gardens, business and herbal knowledge to what it is today.
Off the Pebbled Path is a family run business in British Columbia's Northern capital. We offer hand blended tea, flower essence, salves, skin care and bath products. We strive to go above sustainable practices and take a regenerative approach by growing what we can to create our products, ethically and sustainably wild harvesting them or sourcing them from companies with the same ethical harvesting, sustainability and regenerative beliefs. We harvest just what we need and when the plant is at its peak.
Our products are made in small batches to ensure quality and made only during the appropriate season. For this reason, once a product is sold out it won't be available until the next harvesting season.
